Hay fever is a seasonal allergy that usually causes symptoms such as itchy eyes runny nose, sneezing, headaches and tiredness.

 

While many people use daily antihistamines to help control the symptoms the condition is often chronic and can be distressing to many individuals.

 

Excitingly studies now suggest that the active ingredient in common wrinkle reduction treatment - , can be used effectively to treat some of the symptoms of hay fever. Administered topically so no needles are used, the medication works by blocking the nerve endings that respond to allergies in the nasal cavity. This leads to a reduction in the inflammation of the tissues resulting in a reduction of severity of a runny and congested nose.

 

It is to be noted that not all hay fever symptoms such as itchy eyes will be resolved with this treatment and oral antihistamines can still be used.

 

This treatment costs will be discussed in consultation. Effects begin in 2 weeks and lasts up to 3-4 months perfect for getting through the hay fever season. In people with severe hay fever symptoms a second treatment may be required at 3-4 weeks.
